Welcome to my website

I have always loved travelling from an early age but it wasn’t until I did an Open University degree in Humanities and discovered Italian Renaissance art that I became so passionate about Italy. Soon after graduating I went to the British Institute in Florence to study Art History. That was it. I had fallen in love. Year after year I have returned to Italy and especially to Florence. I even did a charity trek climbing Vesuvius, Stromboli and Etna just to get my Italy fix. A few years ago I decided that I would combine my twin passions of writing and travelling and become a travel writer specialising in Italy. Although Italy is my first love I will write about anything and anywhere interesting. I am on a mission to get my home county of Lincolnshire more well known as although it is the second largest county it is sadly neglected by travel magazines and guides. Also since doing my trek I have discovered the joys of walking and am willing to write about all the interesting places that can be explored on foot. Recently I have been published in Italia magazine, Country Walking, the Sunday Telegraph and the Daily Mail. I am now available for talks about how I became a travel writer and some of the exciting trips I have been on. I can also talk about my mission to get Lincolnshire more well known. Please contact me if you would like to arrange one of these sessions.
